Fig and Parma ham (Fichi e prosciutto crudo)
We can say that this is more of a great idea than a recipe.
This dish is very simple and very quick to prepare and, not least, fantastic to look at.
Besides being very scenic, it is also a really fabulous starter or finger food for an aperitif.
The sweet and fresh figs together with the tasty and salted Parma ham are a good combination for the palate. In Italy we say this is "un perfetto matrimonio" (a perfect marriage).
This is a dish that can be difficult to plan, but if you are in the store and you see that they sell fresh figs…. don't hesitate…buy them! You will not regret it.
